What fits in a day, and what does not
A day trip out of Labuan Bajo is bounded by two hard numbers: the speed of the boat you are on, and the hours of usable daylight. A fast boat can reach Padar, Pink Beach and a dragon-viewing site and return before dark. A slower wooden boat cannot do all three without cutting one to a photo stop. Operators rarely draw that distinction, so itineraries get sold that only work on paper. Our pages state the vessel class each itinerary assumes and the realistic time on land at each stop.
Where the park information comes from
Entry tariffs, permitted landing sites, ranger accompaniment rules and any site closures are taken from the Komodo National Park authority and dated. Fee structures for this park have changed and been partially reversed within recent memory, and a great deal of stale pricing still circulates; where a figure is not currently confirmed in writing, our page says so instead of quoting it with false confidence.
What we do not claim
We do not employ the rangers who accompany visitors on land, we hold no park authority, and we publish no individual guide’s licence or credential. Wildlife viewing is not guaranteed on any trip and we do not sell it as if it were.
